Submit Your Artwork
You can save time and money by submitting your logo or artwork to
ZippyDogs electronically!
There are dozens of design programs and file formats used to generate
artwork. Therefore, it is extremely important that your logo or
artwork be properly formatted before it is sent. Improper formatting
or file extensions can delay production and cost you money.
See below for details.
Computer Artwork Guidelines
Operating System Format
Our systems are IBM Compatible running Microsoft Windows. We prefer
files and diskettes that are compatible with IBM systems. Using
a conversion utility program, we have had limited success converting
Macintosh formatted files. (Please keep in mind that all Macintosh
formatted files must also fit the guidelines specified below.)
Acceptable File Extensions
Adobe Illustrator (AI), Adobe Illustrator (EPS), Adobe PhotoShop
(PSD), Tagged Image File Format (TIFF), or Adobe Portable Document
Format (PDF).
Artwork for Imprinting
When supplying artwork for use in the production of large graphics,
a vector image format is the best choice. A vector image is composed
of lines and various shapes. Example: a blueprint that consists
of a collection of lines and shapes. These types of images can be
scaled to any size with very little effect on quality.
Appropriate vector formats include Adobe Illustrator files
up to version 9.0 in which the entire file has had the path outlined.
The Adobe Illustrator formats are preferable for most applications
as they handle smooth bezier curves.
If you already have your design in electronic format see our submission
requirements below.

Artwork For Embroidery
If you choose to have your logo embroideredand have not already
had your logo digitized, we will need your art or logo sent to us
electronically as a JPEG. Once we have your art or logo we will
digitize your logo.
Digitizing is the process of converting your hard copy logo or
design to a "digitized" computer software embroidery file.
Once your design is in this form a computerized embroidery machine
can sew it out.
The actual process of digitizing your design is similar to C.A.D.
(X - Y) programming. Each stitch, or grouping of stitches, is manually
programmed by hand with the aid of the digitizing software. |
