This is not a new concept, most of Europe has had a policy of not only "bring your own bag", but other things as well. In Norway, you have to bring your own egg carton to the store, or buy one from the shop. Remember glass milk jars? So happy to see those returning to my local grocery store so I don't have to throw out the carton. I support getting rid of plastic bags along with the majority of other packaging materials.
